VENTURE CAPITAL, A KEY INSTITUTION FOR COUNTRY’S GROWTH – MINISTER FOR PUBLIC ENTERPRISES

Hon Joseph Cudjoe, Minister for Public Enterprises and Member of Parliament for Effia Constituency has classified Venture Capital Trust Fund (VCTF)as one of the key institutions in the country for economic growth.

According to him, VCTF has been underrated over the years, but it has the potential to ensure the realization of the dreams of citizens.

“When I look at your mandate, VCTF is the fund to provide entrepreneurs with long-term investments for the realization of their dreams. This means that there will be more people or companies paying taxes and helping the economy and themselves as well”.

Hon Cudjoe made these statements when he visited VCTF on Monday, 11th September, 2023 at their premises in Accra.

After learning that VCTF’s biggest challenge was funding, the Hon Cudjoe counseled them to be creative with the little they must generate more revenue for the Fund.

The Hon Minister suggested Management should consider investing in Angel Investment too since the community has potential.
